4/90 Ockeridge Farmhouse and adjoining outbuilding - at rear 18 11 52 - II

Farmhouse and outbuilding. Early - mid C17, altered early - mid C19. Timber-frame and brick infil to cross-wing at right; coursed squared rubble to main part at left; hipped, plain tiled roof, with over- hanging eaves at the left; off-centre brick stack. T-plan, cross- wing at right and attached outbuilding at the rear left. The main part of the house is of 2 storeys. Two 3-light metal, casement windows and plain band above. Plank door in lean-to at left. The right wing has 2 storeys and attics; jettied out on both upper floors. C20 canted bay on ground floor and C20 2- and 4-light casement windows above. Projecting rubble stack on the side elevation. The rear out- building is a mixture of timber-framing with brick infil and rubble at the right. Irregular elevation of 2 storeys. C20 casement windows at right. Stable door, with loft over at left. Centre outside stair and porch at first floor. (RCHM, Vol II, 1932).
