Description
Ockeridge Farmhouse and the adjoining outbuilding at the rear date from the early to mid-17th century, with alterations made in the early to mid-19th century. The farmhouse features a timber-frame structure with brick infill in the cross-wing on the right, while the main part on the left is constructed from coursed squared rubble. It has a hipped, plain tiled roof with overhanging eaves on the left side and an off-centre brick stack. The building is arranged in a T-plan, with the cross-wing on the right and an attached outbuilding at the rear left. The main part of the house has two storeys, with two three-light metal casement windows and a plain band above. There is a plank door located in a lean-to on the left. The right wing has two storeys and attics, jettied out on both upper floors, featuring a 20th-century canted bay window on the ground floor and 20th-century two- and four-light casement windows above. A projecting rubble stack is present on the side elevation. The rear outbuilding combines timber-framing with brick infill and rubble on the right, displaying an irregular elevation of two storeys. It has 20th-century casement windows on the right, a stable door with a loft above on the left, and a central outside stair and porch at the first floor.
