Description

The churchyard cross, located about 20 yards south-west of the Church of St. Bartholomew, dates from the 14th century and 18th century. It is made of sandstone and features a circular-plan base consisting of four steps beneath a truncated shaft. The base has pyramidical chamfer-stops at its root. At the top of the shaft is a 12th-century scalloped capital, which is now in very poor condition. This capital supports a copper sundial that is inscribed with the names John Sanfoord, Lancelot James, and Church Wardins, along with the year 1739.
