Description

This is a mid-18th century farmhouse, altered in the late 19th century and incorporating earlier woodwork. It is constructed of brick on a sandstone base, with a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building has a half-H plan, with the main entrance positioned to the right of the north front. It features lateral stacks and extends over three storeys, including cellars. The north front includes a wing on the left with a former granary opening. The central block has two three-light casement windows, and an added bay window to the left of the six-panelled front door. A tripartite glazing bar sash window is located on the right wing. Inside, the farmhouse contains elaborately carved overmantels, one dated 1592, and a further 17th century decorated overmantel. Moulded beams in the cellar appear to be re-used.
