Description
This is an animal shelter located about 60 meters south-east of Langstone Court, built in the late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared sandstone rubble with ashlar quoins and features a slate lean-to roof. The structure has two bays and a crenellated design, presenting a blank face to Langstone Court, with sloping verges at each end that give it a resemblance to a squash court. The south side is open, featuring two doorways and a wide rectangular ashlar pier. There is also a short crenellated baffle wall that angles from the south-east corner. This building is situated within the park of Langstone Court and may have originally been intended as a deer shelter; it currently serves as a shelter for cattle.
