Description

The building is an animal shelter located to the north of the boathouse at Castle Head, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble and features a corrugated sheet roof. The shelter is built against a hillside and has embattled parapets. The east wall includes a pointed entrance archway, and the parapet above is stepped upwards, capped with a piece of limestone pavement. The corners of the building are splayed at 45 degrees on both the left and right sides. The boathouse itself is not included in this listing.
