Description

This field gate, located between Merlewood Gardens and Farm in Grange-over-Sands, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast and wrought iron. The gate piers are square in shape and feature cast openwork panels topped with concave pyramids. The gate itself consists of horizontal rails and is divided into two square panels, which have diagonal bracing and are adorned with wrought-iron scrollwork in the centers and corners.
