Description

This barn, located immediately to the north of High Hampsfield Farmhouse, is likely from the 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with dressed quoins and features a slate roof. The southeast elevation includes a barn entrance sheltered by a pentice, with a gabled wing to the left and an outshut under a catslide roof to the right. The northeast elevation has entrances for a cow house, also under a pentice, along with throughstones. This building is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
