Description

The gate, gate posts, and railings at Grange Lea date from the early to mid-19th century and are made of cast iron and wrought iron. The large wrought-iron gate operates on an iron track and features horizontal rails, ogee braces, and decorative scrollwork. The gate piers are made of cast iron, have a hollow square plan, and are designed with a lattice pattern and concave pyramidal tops. The railings are approximately 5 meters long and include spear finials on the bars and pineapple finials on the standards.
