Description
Phoenix House is a house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It features a roughcast exterior and a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and three unevenly-spaced bays. There is a six-panel door with a blind overlight located between the second and third bays. The first and third bays have 20th-century sash windows with glazing bars, while the second bay contains 16-pane sash windows. The house is adorned with shaped kneelers and ashlar copings, and it has brick stacks at both ends and between the first and second bays. Phoenix House was previously known as the Phoenix Inn from 1829 to 1907.
