Description

The boathouse at Ackergillshore, built around 1880, is a rectangular single-storey lifeboat house constructed from tooled rubble with contrasting sandstone dressings. It features a square-headed entrance beneath a segmental relieving arch, with a louvred vent located in the gablet above. The long elevation, which runs roughly north to south, has three bays and is topped with a slate roof. Additionally, there are red pottery roundels set on each side of the entrance.
