Description

This is an 18th-century barn situated approximately 50 metres north-west of Phocle Farmhouse. The barn is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a plain-tile roof. A central projecting midstrey is a prominent feature. The front of the barn has two sets of opposing doors. Projecting lean-to additions with corrugated iron roofs are located on either side of the midstrey. The rear elevation contains two tiers of ventilation slits. Inside, the barn features a 7-bay queen-strut double-trenched-purlin roof with a plank ridge, along with a stone-flagged threshing floor. One lean-to contains feeding racks.
