Description
This is a barn and adjoining granary located approximately 50 meters south-east of Nupend Farmhouse. It is possibly from the 17th century, with later additions from the 18th or early 19th century. The structure is timber-framed, featuring part woven cleft oak infill and part weatherboard cladding. The gable ends and plinth are made of sandstone rubble, and the roofs are covered with pantiles. The building has seven bays that are aligned north-east to south-west, with the granary attached at the north-east end and extending to the north-west. There is a threshing floor in the third bay from the north-east, located to the left of a lean-to shelter shed. The framing consists of three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate. The interior is not accessible.
