Description
Ivington Bury Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a twin-span roof covered with Welsh slate on the front pitches and corrugated iron on the rear. The building has three storeys and a cellar, with a three-window range. The windows are late 19th century 3/3 sashes set under cambered stone lintels, along with cross-windows that have casements and leaded lights, also under cambered stone lintels.
The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with an overlight that has glazing bars, framed by a simple architrave and topped with a moulded wood open pediment hood supported by columns and pilasters. On either side of the entrance are late 19th century bay windows featuring 1/1, 2/2, and 1/1 sashes. To the left, there is a two-storey wing that includes leaded lights. The right side of the building has 18th century lead rainwater goods.
At the rear, there is a 6/6 sash window flanked by late 19th century 8/8 sashes under flat hoods on consoles, with additional 3/6 sashes above. A six-panel door is located in panelled reveals and is topped with a flat hood on pilasters, flanked by late 19th century bays with 1/1, 2/2, and 1/1 sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
