Description

This barn, located approximately 75 metres southeast of Phocle Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone and features a plain-tile roof. The barn has a central projecting midstrey with double opposing doorways. On either side of the midstrey, there are projecting lean-tos with corrugated roofs. The rear of the barn includes a single tier of ventilation slits. Inside, there are two bays that have a loft floor, and the threshing floor is made of stone flags. The roof is a six-bay queen-strut double-purlin design with a plank ridge.
