Description

The barn at Chapel Knapp Farm dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone-tiled roof with coped gables. The barn has opposed central projecting gabled cart entries and flush quoins. There are three tiers of vent loops on the side walls and large oval openings in the end walls. Lean-tos are present on each side of the east cart entry. Inside, the barn has a five-bay double purlin roof supported by tie-beam and collar trusses.
