Description

This is a house dating from the 17th century, built of rubble stone with a stone-tile roof. The house has a gabled south end and a hipped north angle, with ridge stacks. It is arranged as a two-and-a-half storey ‘L’ plan.

The west front features a dormer gable containing a blocked two-light window with a cyma-mould and hoodmould. Below this is a three-light window with an ovolo-mould and hoodmould, a two-light ovolo-moulded window (missing its mullion) with a 20th-century replacement window to the right. On the ground floor, the left side (number 15) is largely obscured by an extension built in 1967. A central door for number 14 is set in a chamfered surround with a hood supported by brackets. A three-light recessed window with a cyma-mould and hoodmould is on the right. A full-height extension was added in 1985 to the south end. The north end has a two-light recessed window on the ground floor, and a range of similar windows to the rear wing’s north side. The rear of the main section of the house has a dormer gable and ovolo-moulded mullion windows. This building is recognised as having group value.
