Description
The Court of Noke is a country house built in the early 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan with a central entrance and axial stacks, which were extended to the rear to create a half-H-plan during the 19th century. It stands two storeys high with attics.
The entrance front includes a string course and a dentilled eaves cornice, topped by a central pediment. There are two 19th-century gabled dormers in the attic, each with 2-light casement windows. The façade has a configuration of glazing bar sash windows arranged in a 2:3:2 pattern. A central Doric portico leads to a part-glazed inner door from the 19th century. Although the interior was inaccessible during the last survey, it is said to contain a contemporary staircase and decorative panelling.
