Description
Yew Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with a cross-wing added in the 17th century. It has been altered and extended during the 20th century. The building features square panelled timber-framing with plastered infill, a sandstone rubble plinth, and brick shafts, all topped with tiled roofs. It consists of four bays, with the cross-wing located to the south-west, and has axial and end stacks. The main entrance is on the south-east front. The farmhouse is two storeys high, with the upper storey jettied at the south-west end, supported by curved brackets. The south-east front includes three 2-light casement windows, with two similar windows to the left of a 20th-century glazed door, and a return of a 20th-century extension to the right, which has a 2-light window. A 2-light mullioned window survives at the rear. The interior is not accessible.
