Description
Woodfield Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with remodels and extensions made in the early 19th century. The structure features a timber frame with brick infill, and it has roofs made of brick, hipped Welsh slate, and stone slate, along with brick stacks. The building has an irregular plan aligned north to south and stands two storeys high.
On the west elevation, there are four windows with glazing bar sashes positioned between giant brick pilasters. To the left of the front stack, there is a blind brick window position, beneath which is a mid-20th century two-light casement. The entry is located to the right of centre within an early 20th century lean-to porch.
Projecting at right angles to the east is a two-bay granary that features an exposed timber-framed gable and a tallet stair that rises from the east on the south side. To the north of the granary, there is an early 19th century brick extension that was formerly a stable and has a stone slate roof.
