Description

This chest tomb, dating from the 18th century, is located approximately 1.5 metres south of the Morton Chapel of the Church of Holy Trinity. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a rectangular plan with a moulded base and capping. The tomb has an inscription panel, which is defaced, flanked by pilasters and a continuous moulding below the capping. The coat of arms at the top is largely defaced, and the inscription is illegible. This tomb is one of a pair of memorials, with an unidentified tomb located 0.5 metres south of the Morton Chapel.
