Description

The Lodge is a lodge or tollhouse built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a stucco exterior and a faceted Welsh slate roof with a central brick ridge stack. The building is single storey and has a two-window range, with mullion windows that have "Gothick" heads and leaded lights. These windows flank a 20th-century six-panel door with a "Gothick" overlight above it. A flat bowed wooden hood supported by two Tuscan columns and square pilasters extends over the entrance. The returned sides of the building also have similar windows. The interior has not been inspected.
