Description

The Old Post Office is a house that possibly dates back to the 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure with a sandstone plinth and rendered roughcast infill, along with a sandstone stack and gable ends, topped by a slate roof. The building consists of two framed bays that are aligned east to west and face south, with an east gable end stack. It is a single storey with an attic, which includes two gabled dormers that have 2-light casement windows. There is a gabled canopy over the entrance that features a ledged door. The framing of the building appears to be fairly complete, although it has been altered, with three square panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate.
