Description
Flood arches and causeway walls leading to Mordiford Bridge over the flood plain of the River Lugg date from the 16th century, with 20th-century parapets and partial widening. They are constructed of coursed and dressed sandstone rubble. There are two semi-circular-headed flood arches to the west of the main spans of Mordiford Bridge, featuring cutwaters to the piers. The causeway extends to the west and includes five additional arches with similar semi-circular heads. The causeway was partially widened on the north side during the 20th century.
