Description
The Court House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was extended and raised in the late 18th century, with some repairs made in the late 20th century. The building features a roughcast timber frame that has been extended in painted brick, topped with a slate roof. The main stack is located at the center and has a brick shaft.
The west-facing front has two storeys on the left side and three storeys on the right. There are four windows, all of which are glazing bar sashes; the two on the right are set under rubbed brick heads. The second floor has two 6-pane sashes, while the ground floor includes a French casement on the left and two glazing bar sashes on the right. There are two entrances: one is to the right of the left-hand half and the other is situated between the sashes. Both entrances feature flat canopies supported by wooden posts and have 6-panel doors. The north gable jetties out and is adorned with a moulded bressummer on scroll brackets. Inside, some ceiling beams are exposed and have ovolo mouldings.
