Description
This stable, located about 25 yards southeast of Lower House Farmhouse, dates back to 1679. It is constructed of fine coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and features one storey and an attic across three bays. On the right side, there is a window with three diamond section mullions, and two ledged doors, with the left door being narrower. These doors are set under a common oak lintel, and above them is an open-framed gabled dormer that has "1679" incised on its tie-beam. The right-hand gable includes two superimposed slit-ventilators. There is also a corrugated iron lean-to against the right-hand gable end, which is not included in the listing. This building may have been constructed by the same builder as the barn and cowhouse at Great Cefyn Farmhouse, which is dated two years earlier.
