GV II

Farmhouse. Probably C17 remodelled in early C20. Dry stone rubble, stone slate and corrugated iron roof, brick gable end chimneys. Former gable entry beside stack; as amended, opposed doors with staircase running between, bread oven and former wash house lean-to attached to north gable end. Two storeys. East front: 2 C20 windows with 2- and 3-light casements, central ledged door under corrugated iron gabled porch. West front: 3 windows with C20 brick dressings. Gable end to north: 2 small blocked windows and 2 blocked windows with labels. Interior: completely remodelled early C20, but original structure with shaped rafter-ends retained; 3 bays: the north truss later braced against north chimney stack. An interesting feature is the staircase from first to former attic floor which is positioned above the north gable entry; it was unfortunately not easy tp establish how one got to the first floor.
