2/81 Two attached barns approximately 30 m south- east of Little Bernithan Farmhouse

GV II

Two attached barns. C18, altered C19 with C20 additions. Sandstone rubble, corrugated metal roofs. Rectangular plan barns aligned north-west/south- east. North-west barn attached to south-east barn at western corner. North-west barn: five bays, central threshing floor and forward projecting hipped porch, lean-to giving cat-slide to left. C20 addition to right, two rows of loop vents. King strut trusses. South-east barn: three bays, central threshing floor. Two rows of loop vents, circular owl hole in gable, inclined strut trusses. Both barns still retain picturesque smeared render. Little Bernithan Farmhouse not included.
