Description
Two barns located approximately 30 meters southwest of Stonehill House, likely dating from the late 17th century with later alterations. The first barn is built of coursed stone rubble and features an old plain-tile roof that is half-hipped on the left side. It has five bays and a hipped midstrey at the center, with an opposing hipped midstrey at the rear, although the doors are missing.
The second barn, which is probably from the mid-18th century, is attached at right angles to the first barn by a midstrey bay. This barn is constructed of brick and also has an old plain-tile half-hipped roof. It consists of seven bays and includes a midstrey bay at right angles to the left. There is a hipped midstrey to the right of center and an opposing midstrey at the rear, with missing doors. The left midstrey bay has plank doors, and the rear hipped midstrey also has plank doors. The barn features blocked ventilation slits and has 20th-century windows on the right side. The interior of both barns includes a queen-strut roof.
