Description

The Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with a probable 17th-century wing to the left. It is constructed of painted brick with an old plain-tile roof and brick end stacks. The main range is two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. A C20 double-glazed door is centrally placed on the right. All windows are two-light casements; those on the ground floor have segmental brick heads. A flat brick band runs between the ground and first floors, and a brick dentil course is visible at the eaves. There is a gabled dormer window in the centre and to the right, each with a two-light casement. The left-hand wing is also of painted brick with an old plain-tile roof, half-hipped to the left. This wing is single-storey and attic, with a two-bay front and irregular window placement. The interior was not inspected.
