Description

WINFORTON CP WINFORTON SO 24 NE 5/121 Base of village cross about 100 yards west 16.10.67 north-west of the Church of St Michael - II Base of village cross. Medieval origin. Ashlar. Octagonal base with moulded upper edge and square socket for shaft. The base is not fixed but rests on a rough foundation, approximately circular in plan. (RCHM, III, p 213, item 2).
