Description

The base of the village cross, located about 100 yards west-north-west of the Church of St Michael, dates back to medieval times. It is constructed from ashlar and features an octagonal base with a moulded upper edge and a square socket designed for the shaft. The base is not fixed in place; instead, it rests on a roughly circular foundation.
