Description

The cross-base, dating from the medieval period, is located approximately 60 meters north of the Church of St Michael in Gussage St Michael. It is made of stone and features the foot of a shaft that is morticed into the base and secured with lead. The cross-base is set into an earth bank at the roadside, making it not very noticeable.
