5/47 Cross-base approximately 60m north of Church of 18.3.55 St Michael, formerly listed as Remains of Village Cross

Cross-base, mediaeval. Stone. Foot of shaft morticed into base and fixed with lead. The whole is set into an earth bank at the roadside and is not at all obvious. (RCHM, Dorset, vol V, p 23, no. 2).
