Description
Long Crichel House is a rectory, now a private dwelling, dated 1786, with later alterations. The building is constructed of ashlar, banded brick, and flint, topped with a tiled roof and featuring brick stacks behind the ridge. The west front is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and attics. It has 12-pane sash windows on the upper floor and 19th-century canted bay windows below. The central doorway has been relocated to the north front, which features an open pediment hood supported by scrolled brackets and an elliptical fanlight.
Inside, the principal rooms include moulded cornices, doorways with moulded architraves, and doors with fielded panels. The staircase has been altered but retains moulded strings and turned balusters.
