Description

The Addis Monument, located about 10 yards north of the north-east corner of the Church of St Mary, is a chest tomb dedicated to John Addis, who died in 1833. It is made of finely carved sandstone and features a deep moulded plinth. The monument has wide corner balusters adorned with acanthus decoration. The side and end panels have quadrant corners along the margins, and it is topped with a low hipped capping.
