Description
Upper House is a house, probably built in the early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings, featuring sandstone and brick end stacks, and has a Welsh slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan that is roughly aligned east to west and consists of two storeys.
The south elevation includes three windows with cast iron casements that have glazing bars. The first-floor windows are square-headed, each containing 20 panes and a central 4-pane casement. The ground floor windows have dressed segmental heads and also feature 30 panes with a central 4-pane casement. The first-floor windows are connected by a continuous cill. There are two ledged doors, one on each side of the central window, located beneath an early 20th-century open lean-to with a corrugated asbestos roof. The interior has not been inspected.
