Description
This building is a store house and stable, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from random rubble with some brick dressings and part weatherboarding, topped with a tiled roof. The wide square structure faces south and has two main levels. The southern façade features three wide panel windows on the upper level with perforated brickwork. Below, there are two segment-headed doorways, one in the center and one to the right, which is flanked by small windows. A further doorway on the left has been converted into a window. The west gable end is partially weatherboarded. Inside, there are two king post trusses supported on rectangular masonry piers, which are carried on a spine wall, with queen struts on either side and four pairs of purlins. This building is part of a complete hop farm complex.
