Description

Number 4 on New Street is a building dating from around 1600. It is timber framed and may have originally been part of a single structure with Number 2. The exterior is roughcast, and the building has two storeys plus an attic, with the top floor projecting outwards. On the first floor, there is a modern five-light casement window, while there is no window in the attic. The building features a projecting early 19th-century shop window with a wide cornice and has an old tiled roof. Numbers 2 to 8 (even) form a group with Number 1 at the south end.
