Description
No. 25 Bridge Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and dwelling. It dates from the 16th century or earlier and has undergone significant alterations. The ground floor is constructed of brick, while the upper levels feature a timber frame with plaster. The building has a slate roof with a gable facing the street, which was raised in the 17th or 18th century, and includes a brick lateral stack. The structure has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range featuring 19th-century 6/6 sash windows. The posts have cusped jowls supporting a cambered tie-beam, and there is a 3/3 sash window in the gable. The shop front, added in the 20th century, includes a door on the right that is recessed between posts, with chamfered brackets supporting a deep jetty that has exposed soffits. The interior has not been inspected.
