Description
This description is for a group of two tomb chests located approximately 3 metres south of the blocked south doorway of the Church of St Mary. These tomb chests date from the early 18th century and are made of sandstone. Both chests feature flat moulded tops, scrolled ends, and carved festoons. The western tomb has an open book carved on one end. The inscriptions on the tombs were illegible during a survey conducted in March 1986, except for the date "1721" on the eastern tomb.
