Barn and adjoining outbuilding. Probably C17, altered mid-C19 and mid-C20. Timber-framed and weatherboarded on rubble base with corrugated metal roof. Five bays aligned east/west; central wagon bay has opposed cart entries and double doors. Interior: wall-frame has three rows of panels from sill to wall-plate and some short straight braces across the upper corners. Roof has (altered) collar and tie-beam trusses with struts and V-struts above the collar at ends and between bays 4 and 5. Two intermediate tie-beam trusses with raking struts and an intermediate collar and tie-beam truss with two struts (one missing). Outbuilding adjoins west end. Built of similar materials with some brick and boarded infill and a slate roof. Four framed bays. Two levels. Main north elevation: there are two ground floor 2-light windows, nine upper-level 2-light windows, two shuttered loft openings and four doors. Interior: wall-framing of three panels from sill to wall-plate; the roof has collar and tie-beam end trusses with struts and three intermediate tie-beam trusses with raking struts.
