Description
This is a garden wall located about 30 yards north-west of Upper Monkton Farmhouse, likely built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a flat sandstone coping. The wall ramps up for about 20 yards from the north-west of the house to a height of approximately 10 feet, then curves back for about 30 yards towards the south-west before making another curved return towards the south-east. There are two entries: one at the north end of the main stretch running north-east to south-west, and the other in the final short return towards the south-east.
