Description

These stables, likely built in the early to mid-19th century, are located at the north end of New House Farmhouse. They are constructed of brick and feature a slate hipped roof. The stables have a rectangular plan with two bays running north to south and stand two storeys high. The west elevation includes two 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor, each set under a segmental arch. The east elevation has two four-pane windows on the first floor, a blocked double entrance with a segmental arch to the left, and two ledged doors in the centre and to the right, alternating with three small windows. These stables are included for their group value with the farmhouse.
