Description
The cow shed adjoining (New) Welsh Hunthouse is a structure likely dating from the 15th century, with refacing and doorways added in the 17th century, and some alterations made in the 20th century. It is built from sandstone rubble, featuring upper framing in the gable end, weatherboard cladding, and a corrugated metal roof. The shed consists of two bays that are attached to the west of the house, with a later lean-to that creates a catslide roof. There are two square-headed doorways on either side of a further blocked entrance, and a square-headed loft entry in the gable, along with another doorway in the lean-to to the right. Inside, the shed contains one complete cruck truss and a further mutilated cruck truss. Note that (New) Welsh Hunthouse is not included in this listing.
