Description
This is a bridge, likely built in the late 18th century to early 19th century, located about 10 yards east of Buckton Mill. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and squared sandstone, with brick dressings. The bridge features a single span segmental arch that runs north to south, supported by two rows of brick voussoirs and topped with a string course. The parapets are made with unsquared sandstone placed on end for coping. The abutments on the west side rise to the same height as the top of the arch. This bridge complements the nearby Buckton Mill. The eastern parapet has a plaque inscribed with "HCC," and the structure is included for its group value.
