Description
This building is a stable and hay loft, likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with corrugated iron roofs and features four structural bays that are aligned roughly north to south. The building has two levels. The west elevation includes partly blocked segmentally-headed openings, with one on either side of an entry located to the right of the center, and one first floor opening on the right side. Tallet stairs lead up from the left to a ledged door that opens into the loft. Attached to the right end of the building is a lean-to that has a segmentally-headed doorway, above which is a single nesting ledge. The interior contains simple collar trusses. This structure is included for its group value.
