Description
The former stables of Dinam is a building originally designed as a lofted stable range. It is constructed of rubble masonry and features a roof made of small slates with a tiled ridge and stone copings, topped with a single bellcote at the southwest gable. The main facade now includes four French windows that are well set back. These windows have architraves made of small sawn slates that follow the square-headed openings and create a flat arch lintel with a slightly stressed stone keystone.
On the right (southwest) side, there is a tall 15-pane window at the rear, which was formerly a pitching hole. This window has architraves similar to those on the main facade and is flush with the outer wall. The left (northeast) side features a boarded door that is offset to the front (north) and a 9-pane fixed light located in the gable apex.
Inside, the building originally had a loft, and the four-bay roof is now exposed. The pegged trusses were once fitted with a tie and collar; however, the tie beam has been removed, and angled braces have been inserted between the ends of the tie beam and the collar. The principal rafters are stop-chamfered, and the inner wall above the ends of the tie beam is made of brick.
