Description
This is a barn located approximately 75 metres south of Hill Court, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with some sandstone detailing and has a slate roof. The barn features a central gabled waggon entrance on each side, each with a wide doorway that has a segmental arch and a window beneath the gable that lights an upper room. Both long sides of the barn have continuous outshuts, and most doorways have segmental arched heads. The brickwork shows signs of some rebuilding. Inside, the roof consists of seven bays supported by trusses, mostly featuring tie-beams and collars. The truss to the east of the entrance has two vertical struts below the collar, while the truss to the west is a 20th-century replacement.
