Description
Two gate piers, a gate, a wall, and a mounting block are located about 25 yards north of Haywood Farmhouse. These structures date from the 18th century and are made of sandstone ashlar, squared sandstone, and wrought iron, with a brick mounting block. The wall runs east to west and extends about 15 yards between the outer piers, which are approximately 7 feet high and feature moulded bases and cornices topped with ball finials. The right side of the gate has a brick mounting block with four stone steps. Haywood Farmhouse is not included in this listing, as the previous farmhouse was demolished around 1984.
