Description
A farmhouse dating to the 17th and 18th centuries, located in Allensmore. The building is constructed of sandstone rubble with timber framing and brick, and has Welsh slate roofs, with brick end stacks. It has an irregular E-plan, incorporating a 17th-century timber-framed section projecting north-east from a main 18th-century brick range. The south-west elevation features five windows with glazing bar sashes, each with a gauged brick head. A brick plat band and sandstone plinth are also visible. A central glazed door from the early 20th century is flanked by diaper patterns in the brickwork. The roof is hipped. The rear elevation exhibits three projecting timber-framed gables with exposed V-struts. Attached to the northernmost wing is a high sandstone stable and loft; the south entrance to the stable features a dropped keystone. The interior has not been inspected.
