Description

The Bevan Monument, located about one yard east of the south porch of the Church of St Andrew, is a Grade II listed chest tomb dedicated to James Bevan, who died in 1826. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a deep base with wide corner balusters that extend along the side panels. These side panels include rectangular inscription panels that have fluted margins and corner rosettes. The monument is adorned with a frieze that also displays rosettes, and it is topped with a low hipped capping.
