Description
Church House is a farmhouse, now a house, likely built in the late 17th century to early 18th century with later alterations. It features a sandstone rubble plinth and a timber-frame structure with plaster infill, along with a sandstone extension. The roof is made of Welsh and asbestos slate and has a brick stack. The building has two bays aligned east to west and stands two storeys tall.
On the north elevation, there is one early 20th-century casement window with two lights on the right side. The ground floor has two early 20th-century casement windows, each with two lights, on the left side, and a pair of 4-paned early 20th-century windows flanking a filleted ledged early 20th-century door on the right. The timber frame consists of three square panels high from the cill to the wall-plate, with angle struts connecting the main posts to the wall-plates. At the rear, there is a mid-19th century extension with a catslide roof. The interior, which was not inspected, is noted to have heavy ceiling beams.
